Mercedes Turner is the Director of Human Resources at Cater to You Food Service, a company that provides better-for-you meals to the independent private school sector in New York City. It has fundamentally transformed how school food should be prepared, with simple seasonal ingredients that can be obtained with traceability and sourced locally from transparent sources, no exceptions.

Ms. Turner oversees all Human Resource team members and the company at large. On a daily basis, she advocates, and is a resource, for all Cater To You employees, and simultaneously works to protect the interests of the company and its values. 

She has more than 15 years of experience as a human resources generalist, with a focus on training, employee engagement, recruiting, and management. After stints in progressive HR roles, with for profit companies as well as the non-profit sector, she joined Cater To You in 2016.

Ms. Turner holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and has completed master’s degree coursework in Labor Policy, both at SUNY Empire State College. In addition, she is SHRM-SCP certified.
